BAB है Agentur für Arbeit से monthly grant — अपनी पहली company-based training करने वाले उन Azubis के लिए, जो company दूर होने से parents के साथ नहीं रह सकते। Amount: आपकी training salary, rent और parents की income पर निर्भर। Application: online, ideally Ausbildung शुरू होने से 2 महीने पहले — जल्द से जल्द application month से मिलता है, कभी retroactively नहीं। Repayment: कोई नहीं।
क्या मैं eligible हूँ? 4 शर्तें
- 1Company-based training: किसी recognised occupation के लिए signed training contract (Ausbildungsvertrag) — company plus vocational school का dual system। सिर्फ़ school-based programmes BAföG के अंतर्गत आते हैं।
- 2पहली apprenticeship: नियम के तौर पर सिर्फ़ आपकी पहली vocational training fund होती है।
- 3आपको अपनी जगह चाहिए: Training company parents के घर से reasonably reach नहीं हो सकती — गिनती public transport की travel time की होती है, kilometres की नहीं। अपने नाम के rental contract वाला WG का furnished कमरा पूरी तरह qualify करता है। जिनके parents विदेश में रहते हैं, उनके लिए यह शर्त अपने-आप पूरी है — agency तब residence status check करती है।
- 4आपकी need आपकी income से ज़्यादा है: आपकी training salary (plus parents की income का हिस्सा) rent और living costs के लिए agency की calculate की गई monthly need से कम है। यह आप पर लागू होता है या नहीं — इसी के लिए calculator है, gut feeling नहीं।
Application 6 steps में
- 1Eligibility check करें. Official BAB calculator (Agentur für Arbeit) ↗ में 10 मिनट — anonymous और non-binding। €0 से ज़्यादा दिखे तो apply करना हमेशा worth it है।
- 2Application शुरू करें — move in से पहले. arbeitsagentur.de portal पर online (account बनाएँ, „Berufsausbildungsbeihilfe“ चुनें)। Rule of thumb: training शुरू होने से दो महीने पहले।
- 3Documents जुटाएँ. पूरी checklist नीचे है — core pieces हैं training contract, rental contract और training salary का proof।
- 4Parents की income का form जल्दी शुरू करवाएँ. आपके parents अपनी income (आमतौर पर परसों वाले साल की) का form भरते हैं — इसी में सबसे ज़्यादा समय लगता है। Parents विदेश में रहते हों तो वहाँ की income evidence भी चलती है; agency से पूछें कौन-से documents accept होते हैं।
- 5Submit करें — कुछ missing हो तब भी. Payment के लिए application month ही गिनता है। Missing documents (जैसे rental contract, जब तक आप ढूँढ रहे हैं) बाद में भी जमा हो सकते हैं।
- 6Decision letter check करें. कुछ हफ़्तों में calculation sheet के साथ Bescheid आता है। उसमें rent या salary ग़लत हो तो एक महीने के भीतर objection (Widerspruch) कर सकते हैं — informal letter काफ़ी है।
Document checklist
- ✓Training contract (company का signed और chamber, IHK/HWK में registered)
- ✓Rent बताने वाला rental contract — all-in rent में total एक ही figure में लिखा होता है, जिससे यह आसान रहता है
- ✓Training salary का proof (training contract में लिखी होती है; वरना company से note)
- ✓Parents की income evidence (आमतौर पर परसों वाले साल की — tax assessment या salary statements; विदेशी documents accept होते हैं, agency से पूछें क्या चाहिए)
- ✓ID card या passport — international Azubis: vocational training की अनुमति देने वाला residence permit
- ✓Monthly payment के लिए bank details (IBAN) — German account सबसे आसान
- ✓अगर लागू हो: vocational school के ticket costs और महीने में एक family visit home — दोनों आपकी calculated need बढ़ा सकते हैं
कितना मिलेगा?
कोई fixed amount नहीं है। Agency housing और living costs की standard rates (plus travel और जहाँ relevant हो, work clothing) से एक monthly need जोड़ती है, फिर आपकी training salary और parents की income का countable हिस्सा घटाती है — generous allowances के साथ, जैसे अभी school में पढ़ रहे siblings के लिए। जो बचता है, वह हर महीने आपको मिलता है। Practice में range छोटे top-up से लेकर कई सौ euro प्रति माह तक जाती है।
दो बातें जानने लायक: parents की "ज़्यादा" कमाई का मतलब अपने-आप €0 नहीं — ऊँचे rent और first-year salary के साथ अक्सर फिर भी claim बनता है। और BAB हर approval period (18 महीने) पर recalculate होता है: दूसरे साल salary बढ़ने पर grant थोड़ा घटता है, पर आमतौर पर लेने लायक रहता है।

Objection (Widerspruch)
एक महीने के भीतर, informal। सबसे आम errors: पुरानी parental income, भूले हुए sibling allowances, ग़लत rent figure।
Wohngeld
अगर आप BAB के लिए सिद्धांततः eligible नहीं (जैसे दूसरी apprenticeship), तो district के Wohngeld office से housing benefit काम आ सकता है।
Employer हिस्सा देता है
ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा training companies recruiting benefit के रूप में rent का हिस्सा cover करती हैं — interview में बात उठाएँ।

BAB (Berufsausbildungsbeihilfe) क्या है?
German Federal Employment Agency से monthly grant, अपनी पहली company-based vocational training करने वाले उन Azubis के लिए, जिन्हें training company parents के घर से बहुत दूर होने के कारण अलग रहना पड़ता है। कभी वापस नहीं करना होता।
क्या international Azubis को BAB मिल सकता है?
अक्सर हाँ: German training contract वाले Azubis nationality की परवाह किए बिना eligible हो सकते हैं, अगर residence status vocational training की अनुमति देता है — कई non-EU Azubis भी। EU नागरिक German applicants की तरह treat होते हैं। Agentur für Arbeit से अपना case check करवाएँ; apply करने का कोई खर्च नहीं।
BAB कितना देता है?
कोई fixed amount नहीं: agency housing और living costs की आपकी monthly need calculate करती है, फिर आपकी salary और parents की income का हिस्सा घटाती है। कई सौ euro प्रति माह संभव है। Official BAB calculator पहला estimate देता है।
कब apply करें?
Apprenticeship शुरू होने से करीब दो महीने पहले। BAB जल्द से जल्द application month से मिलता है — कभी retroactively नहीं। बीच Ausbildung में apply करना भी संभव है, जैसे बाद में घर से बाहर जाने पर।
क्या वापस करना पड़ता है?
नहीं। BAB grant है, loan नहीं — training salary के ऊपर हर महीने मिलता है और कभी वापस नहीं करना होता।
